Engineering World Health Design Competition

Description “In August of 2009, EWH launched a unique annual Design Competition to encourage the development of technical solutions that contribute to improved health care in developing countries. Design Teams can choose to work on any project relevant to the medical instrumentation needs of resource-poor areas. Useful suggestions can be found in the ‘Projects That Matters’ list, which includes needs identified by EWH staff working in international hospitals. Requirements The team must have at least one member in a EWH chapter, and must have a faculty advisor. Also there is an entry fee, which varies by payment date and is listed on the competition website.
Funding $3,000 for 1st Place Team, $1,000 for 2nd Place Team, $500 for 3rd Place Team.
Timeline For 2014, the final proposal was due by May 30th.
